I’m asking for your vote so I can keep working to represent Mississippi in the United States Senate.

This election not only decides how Mississippi is represented, but there’s even more than that at stake. The election in Mississippi and across the country will literally determine which party has a majority control in the United States Senate. With a Republican majority, I will be in position to help strengthen Mississippi’s economy, while at the same time cracking down on wasteful spending.

As Appropriations Chairman, I can ensure Mississippi’s schools, military bases, veterans, community colleges and universities receive fair treatment from the federal government. I can also stop President Obama’s out-of-control spending, and return common sense, conservative principles to Washington’s budget.

I’m optimistic about the future of Mississippi, and I believe our best days are in front of us. With conservative leadership and principles, that’s the best way to improve the quality of life for all Mississippians. That’s why I’m campaigning hard to earn your support and your vote.

One thing we can all agree on is that Mississippi is worth fighting for. If you will honor me with your vote tomorrow, I will do my best to make you proud that you played a role in my reelection.

Thad Cochran has been an outstanding advocate for Mississippi bankers and the many community banks our state relies on. Time after time, he has been there for us.

Last year, when Federal regulators were attempting to overreach their influence on rules that would have costs millions to Mississippi’s banks, Senator Cochran answered his constituents’ calls and within hours was in touch with agencies which allowed private banking and regulators to begin working to find a reasonable resolution.

This year, He effectively worked with both parties and both houses of Congress to pass the Homeowner Flood Insurance Relief Act of 2014 into law.  This law protects Mississippi businesses and families from skyrocketing flood insurance premiums until Congress is provided assurances that floods mapping methodologies are accurate and affordability is accounted for prior to adjusting flood insurance rates.
