Yesterday, the United States Senate passed the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act (H.R. 3370). The legislation would prevent many Mississippians from enduring unfair, unaffordable flood insurance rate increases.
“Once again, Senator Cochran’s seniority and influence has paid dividends for the people of Mississippi,” said campaign spokesman Jordan Russell. “The flood insurance reform legislation Senator Cochran helped craft will prevent Mississippi homeowners throughout the state from being hit with skyrocketing insurance costs. The legislation, which earned broad bipartisan support, is the latest example of how Senator Cochran’s stature on Capitol Hill serves the best interests of our state and nation.”
